About Me
McKenna Sanford is a Kansas-City based actress, currently pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at the University of Central Missouri.
Originally from Seattle, McKenna has performed for 14 years, garnering critical acclaim and professional experience. While living in the Pacific Northwest, she has trained and worked at several notable theaters including: The 5th Avenue Theater, Village Theater and Seattle Children’s Theater. For her performances, McKenna was nominated for the Seattle Broadway World Awards (August: Osage County, Peter and the Starcatcher, Newsies) and for the 2024 Irene Ryan award (Little Women).
Most recently, McKenna made her professional debut in The Sound of Music at The Lyric Opera of Kansas City as Leisl, directed by Broadway’s Francesca Zambello, starring Mikaela Bennett and Edward Watts.
